Good Samaritan Saves Accident Victim

Two people were hit by a motorcycle and killed last week in Galveston, Texas when crossing Seawall Boulevard last Thursday night. There was no crosswalk where the couple crossed on their way to visit the beach from the San Luis Hotel.  The motorcycle operator and passenger were flung off the bike as it flipped twice.

The passenger and motorcycle driver may not have survived had it not been for the aid of several Samaritans.  An Army veteran gave mouth to mouth and started chest compressions on of the people who had been on the motorcycle.  Police say the two on the motorcycle survived in large part due to the aid from strangers before the EMS arrived.

Police do not believe the motorcycle was speeding or that alcohol was involved.  No charges were filed.
